As a Field Technician, you will be responsible for both operational maintenance support and training delivery & assessment. The role requires operational maintenance support of SATCOM terminals and rack-based RF / communications equipment based at HMAS Harman. The role also requires delivery of training to ADF, Raytheon Australia and other contractor personnel at various sites, upkeep of Training Management Packages, conducting of training evaluation and provision of support to training review boards for both fixed and transportable SATCOM systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Provision of specialist on and off site maintenance services to SATCOM SPO assets.
- Provision of Configuration Management Support to selected mission systems.
- Provision of warehouse and supply support activities for Breakdown Spares, Repairable Items and Support and Test Equipment
- Ensure compliance with governance and ITAR obligations
- Maintain strong customer relations
- Produce site maintenance reports
- Participate as a member of the on-call team
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Trade Certificate III or IV in Communications or Electronic Engineering
- 5+ years’ experience in a technician role
- Proficient in Microsoft office
- Knowledge of and experience with terrestrial or Satellite Communications Systems
- All applicants must hold be able to obtain a NV1 defence security clearance.
