People@Work is currently seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Field Service Technician to work fulltime for a nationally recognised service & supply centre in Alfredton, Ballarat.
Our client provides general repair and maintenance services on a wide variety of equipment including transport and access equipment, materials handling, earth moving, in addition to providing hydraulic repairs, across a wide variety of industries.
Consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
- A trade qualification (vehicle mechanic or fitter and turner) is a prerequisite
- Experience in hydraulics and field service will be given the highest consideration
- Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices
- A strong understanding of customer service
- Good numeracy, verbal and written skills
- A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised as well as in a team environment
- Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
- Good problem solving and fault finding skills are essential and will be given high consideration
- Understanding of, and the capability to implement OHS and Safe Work practices
- A current manual drivers license
- Flexibility with working hours including after hours and on call availability will constitute part of the role for the successful candidate
Full product and job training will be provided to the successful applicant plus a fully maintained service vehicle for on-site work. A remuneration package will be negotiated based on the level of experience of the successful applicant.
