Position Purpose:

JCB CEA in Adelaide is looking for a Diesel Mechanic to help service and repair both new and used equipment in the workshop, in an efficient and timely manner. This is an exciting, challenging and dynamic role in an ever changing industry within a rapidly growing company, offering competitive remuneration.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Servicing and maintaining machinery under warranty.
  • Diagnosis and fault finding in the mechanical assessment of machinery for repair, maintenance and service.
  • Making sure warranty RTS times are adhered to.
  • Appearance of supplied company uniforms to be neat and tidy at all times.
  • Ensuring workshop is kept neat and tidy.
  • All online training modules are completed and maintained as needed.
  • Uploading of all data logs, computers, pictures and other relevant information regarding workshop jobs.
  • All paperwork to be completed correctly and submitted to the service administrator at the end of each working day.
  • Ensuring a safe working environment for all staff and customers as well as reporting any safety incidents or concerns to the Service Manager or the HR Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with the relevant OH&S requirements.
  • Ensure compliance and communication strategies for managing OH&S risks in the workplace.
  • Contribute to the participative arrangements and communications strategies for managing OH&S risks in the workplace
  • Conformance to quality systems and procedures.
  • Physically and mentally fit for the day to day challenges and continual deadlines.

Role Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to maintain construction equipment and machinery.
  • Must have previous experience in Hydraulics.
  • Excellent customer service focus.
  • Trade qualifications including Mechanical, Hydraulic, Auto Electrical.
  • Must have ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures and recommend solutions.
  • Must have Industry experience in Heavy Plant Equipment.
