About the Role:

Provide the purpose of the role is to provide general maintenance to all of the storm water network and undertake investigations to remedy drainage issues.

About you:

• Operate/maintain various vehicles and equipment (rollers, hand tools, vibrating plates, Plant, jack hammers, pavers, forklift, bob-cat, back hoe, eductor etc.) where licenced and competent
• Load correct equipment on truck and check secured Safely
• Drive all vehicles in a safe and professional manner
• Set up appropriate barricades and signs to maintain traffic control
• Inspect and clean pit (using appropriate method)
• Inspect cleanliness of pit and jet drain if required
• Record time taken to clean pit, and pit details
• If required, determine pit requirements (eg. New grate, reconstruct pit) and/or any additional details (eg. size, width, condition) Notify supervisor with respect to routine requirements (ie. Routine Maintenance contract)
• Inspect residential storm water and resolve issues and forward plan works to completion
• Expose and reinstate broken and damaged storm water pipes
• Extensive problem solving skills
• Liaise with other internal teams to organise programmed works  
• Complete daily schedules and /or work sheet for invoicing/monitoring purposes
• Inform Team Leader of low stock levels (raw materials)
• Undertake pit repairs, including lid replacements and minor pit repairs
• Respond to emergency call-out
• Respond to general public, customer & relevant team member enquiries
• Inform Team Leader of customers affected by upcoming works
• Actively participate in the development of a High Performance Safety Culture through the adoption of the Behaviours of Safety Leaders'
• Foster a “one company” approach with individuals recognising and taking responsibility for their part.

Essential Skills:

• HR Licence
• Plumbing, Storm Water and Drainage experience
• Traffic Management (Highly regarded)
