About the business
Albert Park College is a multi campus co-educational government secondary college with new and near new facilities.
About the role
We are looking for a Facilities and Maintenance Officer who is able to:
- Manage and prioritise the College maintenance register across all sites and attend to issues in a practical and timely manner
- Undertake general maintenance and repair work such as light carpentary, painting and basic electrical and plumbing work
- Manual handling tasks associated with event management such as moving furniture, setting up for exams and special events both on and off site
- Arrange mandatory and essential inspections and servicing of equipment
- Maintain a current and up to date knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems at the College and ensure operational manuals are up to date
- Supervise and co ordinate staff such as the Events team and maintenance and ground staff
- Liaise with cleaning contractors re daily and annual works
- Source supplies and raise purchase orders

Substantial experience in general maintenance or a trade and an understanding of building compliance
Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships with both College staff and contractors
Ability to supervise and manage the work of others
