​​This role offers fantastic growth opportunities for the right candidate. You will be responsible for preparing variable data projects based on client supplied data and design files in order to produce print ready variable data pdf for production. As a member of the experienced prepress team you will be required to have a full understanding of all prepress duties but take a leading role in dynamic data driven production jobs.

Responsibilities will include:

• Prepare supplied excel data for variable data import
• Prepare Adobe InDesign files for data merge using Xmpie
• Set up, test and output complex variable data jobs for digital print
• Prepare and proof static digital jobs for print
• Work closely within the Prepress, Customer Service and Production teams as well as our clients to ensure timely and accurate delivery of output
• Innovate and implement techniques to streamline and improve productivity

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

• Advanced skills and experience in Adobe Creative Suite in particular InDesign and Acrobat.
• Sound knowledge of XMPie data products including, U-build, U-create (or similar) for variable data file output
• Excellent English Comprehension, Written and Verbal Communication skills
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and to balance competing priorities to deliver timely outcomes
• Must have a strong team focus and be able to work with minimal supervision
• Excellent organisational and documentation skills
• Experience with Xerox, Prism, Pitstop & Heidelberg Prinect an advantage.
• Experience of other digital print workflow, variable data or print MIS an advantage
