Teys Australia operates six modern and efficient beef processing facilities strategically located across the Eastern seaboard. The Biloela site is located in the Banana Shire district in Central Queensland, the plant invites applications for a suitably qualified Maintenance Fitter. The position offers an energetic team based environment along with future career development and training opportunities within the Teys group.
About the role
We require an experienced Maintenance Fitter to undertake a variety of preventive maintenance and repair duties. Ideally, applicants would be appropriately trade qualified and have previous post trade qualifications encompassing hydraulic and pneumatic competencies. An ability to weld and fabricate mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium using a variety of equipment.

- Sound understanding of Workplace Health and Safety requirements
- A valuable team member with a positive "can do" attitude
- Willing to work overtime as required
Skills and Experience
- Able to read and follow workshop drawings with support from our engineering department
- Forklift licence an advantage
- Safe Working At Heights certification
- Experience in Preventive maintenance programs
- Ensure downtime is minimised
- Construction projects completed on time and within budget
- General welding ability
To be successful in this role you must have relevant trade certification, and a willingness to undertake extra training as required. A commitment to Workplace Health & Safety, an eye for detail and able to work unsupervised. In addition, you will have a great work ethic, excellent attitude and able to communicate well. The company has negotiated an innovative and rewarding enterprise agreement with its maintenance team. The applicant must be willing to work shift work and weekends (as required).
