Due to recent significant growth, we have the opportunity for a NBN MDU Installer to join our Electrical Construction team based at Hendra.

The role:

Hands on installation of commercial communications systems
Assist with commissioning and trouble-shooting of newly installed systems
Rack building
Cable pulling & termination
Has experience in Fibre, Cat 6/6A, Coax
Meticulous and tidy installation to high standards set by the team
Be part of a dedicated and professional technical installation team
Be flexible and help the team where needed
Projects in Brisbane and surrounding regions

The candidate:

An accomplished communication technician with a strong track record of integrated system installations.
Fault finding ability across a diverse range of systems.
A passion for technology and problem solving and be able to install and integrate system components from several different manufacturers, drawing upon your knowledge of the latest products (and their connections) within the industry.
Knowledge of specifically Comscope (Krone), Systimax, Molex technologies would be beneficial.
As well as your technical knowledge, you will utilise your communication skills to be a team player and deliver excellent customer service.
An attitude that demonstrates a customer focus and pride in your work, coupled with a sense of urgency and commercial awareness is essential.
Experience of commercial projects, relevant cabling licences are essential. Must have experience of working on large construction sites where multiple teams work together simultaneously.
Great attention to detail and a good understanding of computer networks.
Licences required are:
- A Certificate 3 – including endorsement Structured, Fibre, MATV
- A current driver's license
- A current white card
- A current cabling license
Experience in Pit & Pipe works, cable hauling, MDU duct installation, terminating and testing coax networks and experience with working on the Telstra network would be advantageous.
This position will suit ex Foxtel/ Optus MDU installers.
