About the Role:
We are looking for a skilled Audio Visual technician/installer & all-rounder who is reliable and responsible and ready to represent Mandoe out on the road with some of our more exciting projects.
Based in our Melbourne office, the Audio Visual Technician will work with the rest of the AV Team, Service Desk and Project Management staff as well as providing expert knowledge on AV trends to the Pre-Sales team.
You will be heavily involved in the installation and on-site servicing/support of new client installs, as well as our existing client base.
The role will be responsible for:
- Installing Digital signage, WiFi equipment and screen enclosures
- Servicing existing signage and network installs
- Conduct fault finding and act as an extension of the Service Desk
- Work closely with our Project Management team for new site installs
- Conduct fault finding as well as working on commissioning new equipment
- Communicate with customers, clients and internal Mandoe staff
- Travel will be required both in and around VIC both in the CBD as well as remote/regional areas. Some interstate / international travel may be required.
The successful candidate must have:
- Knowledge and experience multiple aspects of AV integration, installation, cabling, and servicing – ideally in regards to Digital Signage, WiFi and Audio installations.
- Excellent customer service skills
- Attention to deal
- Ability to work alone as well as part of a team
- Impeccable time management and multitasking skills
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Visio
- Ability to work flexible hours (including weekends)
- Ability to travel on short notice
- Possession of a current Green/White card would be ideal
- Key Technologies that we work with:
- Commercial and consumer screens and video walls
- Routers, media players and servers
- Wireless access points and 4G networks
- AV system and speakers
- Integrated AV control systems
- Projectors and projection film
- Exposure and competency in RTI/AMX programming would be highly advantageous, as would any exposure to electrical engineering.
Must have a valid drivers license
