About the role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join the House with No Steps team, in the role of Team Leader; Facility Services. This position will be required to work the hours between 10am to 6pm; Monday to Friday within the Northern Beaches and surrounding locations. The role is responsible for supervising the day to day organisation of a small team of employees; and will effectively be responsible in achieving high quality standards and output of grounds/landscape maintenance, cleaning and supporting a diverse range of commercial projects including a recycling centre.
If you enjoy working outdoors, have a desire to work in horticultural industry, good awareness of Workplace, Health and Safety and are willing to make a positive contribution to the team - this could be the job for you.
We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Previous experience within a landscape maintenance or horticulture industry and/or hold a relevant qualification in this field
- Demonstrated experience in using plant/equipment to complete garden and lawn maintenance e.g. mowers, brushcutters, pruners, commercial equipment
- Previous experience or willingness to assist with commercial cleaning
- Ability to work independently and effectively as a team member
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, train and develop a small team of employees
- Effective communication with employees, external customers and contractors
- Understanding and empathy towards people, including people with a disability
- A high level of physical fitness to meet manual handling requirements of the position
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
- Sound knowledge of Workplace, Health and Safety requirements
- A commitment to quality, timeliness and meeting customer expectations
- A current Australian manual drivers license
- Current First Aid Certificate
