Spray Painting Apprenticeship - 3rd or 4th Year
Location: Brisbane
All Trades Queensland is currently seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Spray Painting Apprentice, for our client based in Brisbane.
You will be employed by us in a full-time Spray Painting Apprenticeship, earn a weekly wage and be exposed to all aspects of your trade.
As an ATQ Apprentice Spray Painter, you will be working towards obtaining a Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology.
This apprenticeship/ qualification aims to prepare new employees or recognise and develop existing workers who are painting and maintaining painted surfaces on a range of vehicles and non-vehicle applications.
As an Apprentice Spray Painter you will learn to:
- Paint, refinish, repair and maintain painted surfaces to a range of automotive vehicles, recreational vehicles and other vehicles within the automotive industry
- Determine vehicle damage and determine repair procedures
- Prepare spray painting materials and equipment
- Colour match
- Prepare vehicle components for vehicle repair
- Apply paint removal methods
- Repair body panels
- Apply paint to a range of vehicles
- Prepare substrate for refinishing
- Carry out denibbing, buffing and polishing
To be eligible, you must have:
- Completion of a Certificate II in Automotive Body Repair Technology and exposure to the Automotive industry through work experience, will be highly regarded
- Reliable transport & a provisional/full manual licence
- A strong mechanical aptitude and passion for the trade
- Be able to demonstrate motivation and commitment in completing their apprenticeship
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team
