About the business and the role

O'Mara Cycles is a busy high end bicycle store situated on Beach Road, Black Rock. We are seeking an experienced bicycle mechanic to join in our fun and dedicated team.

Job role and responsibilities

• Daily scheduled bike servicing of all brands and types of bicycles
• Building of custom bikes
• Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised workshop and wash bay
• Maintain workshop inventory levels
• Process warranties
• Interacting with customers in person and over the phone
• Maintain a clear level of communication between workshop, retail staff and customers

Skills and experience

• Minimum 2 years experience as bicycle mechanic
• Experience with building and servicing high end bicycles
• Experience with custom builds
• Knowledge of Shimano Di2, Sram ETap, Hydrolic disc brakes
• Must be clean, tidy, organised and well presented
• Excellent communication skills both over the phone and in person
• Able to work independently, without supervision and in a teamed environment
• Passion for the industry and attention to detail
• Hard working, energetic and self motivated
• Honest, reliable & punctual
• Must have full work rights; Australian citizen or permanent resident
