About the role
To support our customer we have multiple positions available for Plant Mechanics to be based on site at Cadia. In this role you will perform repairs, maintenance and inspections on customer machines. This work will take place in and around the pit and customer workshop and will involve some underground work. You will use your high level of technical skill and expertise to carry out these duties in a safety conscious environment.
Our onsite Plant Mechanics are recognised for their exact knowledge of CAT equipment – well trained, professional, and experts in their field. The best tooling is available, and you can continue to learn alongside some of the best trade’s professionals. We have an excellent leadership team, and great opportunities for trade and career advancement.
Skills & Experience
Our successful candidates are trade qualified mechanics and possess the following skills:
- Experience in a similar role working in both surface and underground environments;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Familiarity with Caterpillar Equipment (specifically R3000H loaders, 740B dump trucks,777G off-highway trucks);
- Commitment to maintaining safe work practices;
- Dedication to providing the industry’s best customer service.
