An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced, enthusiastic person to join our Maintenance Team as a Handyman.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in the maintenance of plant, buildings and equipment
- Ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment
- Enthusiastic, positive attitude and customer focus
- Ability to work independently with initiative and as at team member
- Attention to detail, time management and organisational skills
- Drivers licence
- Capacity to undertake heavy manual handling tasks, climb ladders, bend, kneel and operate equipment
Desirable Criteria
- Trade qualified, preferably electrical, mechanical, plumbing or carpentry
- Health facility experience
The successful applicant will be responsible for undertaking assigned maintenance activities and ensuring that all forms of maintenance records for the Hospital are fully maintained and up to date.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required in dealing with customers, patients and the maintenance team to ensure the quality of works carried out.
Part time and casual applicants will be considered for the role.
