We are currently looking for a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join our team for Hunter Valley Buses at our Thornton depot. This role is Monday-Friday with some available overtime on weekends.

Start times can vary depending on the requirements of the business.

Your core responsibilities will include:

· Maintain, repair and service a fleet of heavy vehicles and related mechanical/electrical components in accordance with workshop maintenance plan

· Comply with all guidelines and requirements for heavy vehicles

· Completing assigned duties in a safe, clean, competent and timely manner

· Enter accurate information on fleet maintenance software

· Attend to breakdowns/accidents/incidents as required

You should be able to demonstrate:

· That you hold an MVRIA Licence in the class of motor mechanic

· Practical experience in modern, low-emission diesel technology

· Experience in the Heavy Vehicle Inspection process conducted by the NSW RMS

· That you hold either a MR or HR Driver's Licence

· Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships

· Effective communication skills both written and verbal

· Ability to demonstrate basic PC skills

· Ability to adhere to regulations and guidelines
