Seeking Carpenters
Carty Homes is a luxury residential building company with offices in Belrose, NSW. We work predominately in the North Shore and Eastern suburbs of Sydney. Carty Homes chooses to focus on new homes and renovations for clients that expect the highest quality work, done by a professional, respectful team of craftsmen.
We are looking for carpenters that have an eye for quality and detail and regularly meet productivity targets set by the Foreman.
Carpenter Duties
- Ability to read plans and take briefings and direction from the Foreman
- Consistently achieve quality standards first time
- Maintain personal site diary of tasks undertaken to ensure that documentation and reporting objectives are met
- Support the Foreman by ensuring that activities are carried out in accordance with instructions and expectations of the Foreman and Carty management team
- Assist with site construction staff and subcontractor supervision
- Assist the site foreman by notifying them of any materials needed and to carry out daily project site checks of quality, progress, WHS and environmental impact
- Investigate problems as they arise, take action and report to the Foreman
- Assist the site Foreman with onsite induction and training of apprentices and new staff
Essential Criteria
- Trade Qualified Carpenter with minimum Cert 111
- Minimum 5 years’ experience preferred in high end custom homes
- Experience in multiple facets of carpentry including framing, roofing, structural, windows and doors
- Ability to read plans and take direction first time
- Previous experience with a residential builder
- Excellent eye for detail and time management skills
- Current NSW Drivers licence and own vehicle
- Provide own power and hand tools
- Construction Induction Safety Card (white card)
- Basic to intermediate IT knowledge would be advantageous however training will be provided
