Join this highly regarded and growing Australian organisation that is a market leader in the provision of commercial surveillance equipment including mobile cameras, in-vehicle digital recorders, monitoring devices and remote viewing systems. They have a reputation for providing innovative and quality products, value for money and outstanding service/support to the mining, transport, earthmoving, waste, agriculture and warehouse industries.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, troubleshooting and repairing of commercial surveillance equipment (cameras and recording systems) on commercial vehicles and machinery. The role will include:
- Providing customers with technical support and installation assistance
- Undertaking urgent corrective maintenance and in-depth troubleshooting out in the field and in-house
- Troubleshooting by phone with customers
- Completion of relevant paper work and service reports
- Provision of technical support to other Field Service Technicians
- Assist the Service Supervisor with identification of warranty v non-warranty issues
- Perform in-house and on-site demonstrations
- Assist with modifications and retrofits of equipment
- Adhering to all OH&S issues
We are looking for a Field Service Technician with the following attributes:
- Experience working as a Mechanic, Auto Electrician or someone with an understanding of Auto Electrics
- Good hand tool skills and basic metal fabrication experience
- Superior customer service focus
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- High attention to detail
- Extremely organised with the ability to juggle multiple tasks
- Adaptable and flexible
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Team player who likes to pitch in with a can-do attitude
