FITTER MACHINIST – MECHANICAL TRADE – MECHANICAL TRADES ASSISTANT
Callidus Group a division of PON, specialise in the management, maintenance, servicing and diagnostics of valves, actuators, and instrumentation. Our goal is customer satisfaction achieved through engineering expertise, highly capable employees and commitment to service.
Due to Callidus's growth throughout its Australian Operations, fantastic opportunities have become available for a proactive and enthusiastic Thermal Coatings Technician to support our busy Workshop team based in Balcatta for an immediate start. The position will ideally suit positive attitude candidates with either machining or mechanical background including Trades Assistants who can demonstrate a solid mechanical or industrial trades based aptitude.
Callidus's thermal coatings division is at the forefront of high velocity metal spray technology.
This position will report to the Thermal Coating Team Leader/supervisor and requires a technical minded person with mechanical or machining background and will be responsible for:
- Surface preparation and manual bead blasting of valve components
- Component measuring and dimensional checks
- Ball and Seat lapping for large valves and other valve related materials
- Quality inspection and job pack reporting on valve components
Ideally you will have the following:
- Experience in a fast paced mechanical, machining or production workshop environment
- Trade certificate preferred or experience in a technical position
- Cylindrical grinding experience desirable or adaptable experience from your technical background.
- Measuring equipment experience and understanding of workshop or engineering drawings, must have a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work overtime or shiftwork from time to time to meet our customer requirements.
