NQ Water Services is a locally owned and operated pumping, irrigation and filtration business, servicing Central and Northern Queensland.

We require an experienced and enthusiastic Pump Technician for our Mackay facility. Key aspects of the role include:

​About the Role

Reporting to the Workshop Managing, the Pump Technician is a critical member of the service team within the organisation. As such, a professional attitude with a strong focus on delivering results is essential.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installation, maintenance and overhaul of pumps and associated pumping equipment
• Technical assessment and troubleshooting
• Liaising with customers and support personnel
• Maintaining an efficient and safe work environment
• Reporting results and identifying areas of improvement
• Ensuring compliance with internal controls and procedures

Skills & Experience

• Recent record of successful performance in a similar role (essential)

• Sound technical knowledge of pumping and irrigation equipment (preferred)

• Trade or professional qualifications in a relevant field (preferred)

• Excellent numeracy and communication ability (essential)

• Proven competency with the use of computerised ERP systems for job management (advantageous).
