Callidus Welding Solutions, a division of Callidus Group is based in Perth, Western Australia and offers specialised welding services.  Our highly trained team provides significant experience in the joining, rebuild and overlay of corrosion and wear-resistant alloys for the mineral process, power generation, marine and mining industries. 

Callidus Welding Solutions has a full time position for a Coded Welder based in our Wangara facility.

Coded Welders

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Experienced welding in accordance to ASME IX/AS 3992 using GTAW, MAG, SMAW & FCAW processes in 1-6G positions using ferrous/Non-ferrous and alloy consumables  
• Complete welds in accordance to supplied weld procedures
• Follow all CWS safety quality procedures
• General pipefitting and fabrication experience
• Available to work overtime, weekends and nightshift as required to meet client requirements
• Be available to attend client site shutdowns and emergency breakdown repairs in Australia and overseas as required
• Assist in  the mentoring of apprentices and other personnel as required  

The successful candidate must have-

• A recognised Australian or accredited welding trade certificate 
• The right to work within Australia
• A can-do attitude with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• The ability to pass a weld test using GTAW in a 6G position on Super Duplex and Titanium as a minimum

Advantageous skills and experience-

• Current confined space
• Current Working at heights
• A manual driving Licence
• Previous welding experience with Exotic alloys, Austenitic and ferritic stainless steels and super dupex materials 
• Previous onsite experience

Prior to any offer of employment all candidates will be required to undertake-

• Weld test
• Medical/drug test
• Reference checking
