The opportunity: Estimator
We are looking for an Estimator to join our dynamic team based in Port Melbourne. With experience in the electrical construction space, we are offering an excellent career development opportunity in a supported structure that will see you pricing and tendering on electrical design and construction projects across Australia.
Responsibilities
As an Estimator your typical activities and responsibilities will consist of:
- Prepare take offs and tender estimates
- Reviewing, preparing and submitting tender documents for projects
- Budget pricing and cost planning
- Attend tender meetings
- Manage resources to ensure timely completion of tenders/submissions
- Maintain subcontractor database
- Maintain rapport and ensure effective communication with clients, suppliers and Apex team members
Skills and experience
- experience in estimating in the electrical construction space would be an advantage
- Electrical trade background with electrical license and experience ‘on tools’ preferred
- Commercial/industrial construction experience
- technical knowledge of the design and construction process
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience using Microsoft office and other computer-based software/applications
- Effective communicator
- Efficient, organised and independent
