- 4 DAYS ON, 4 DAYS OFF ROSTER
- 10 HOUR ROTATING SHIFTS BETWEEN 6.30AM & 11.30PM
- WORKING ON CUSTOMER SITES
Our client leads the way in transport ticketing, implementation and fare collection. With a 30 plus year history and an extensive customer list, they are in a growth phase and looking for the best Field Services Technicians to work with their technology and their very important customer base. As a Field Services Technician you will provide specialised support by performing remedial and preventative maintenance to maintain a high standard of equipment. Your presentation and communication skills need to be first class as this is a customer facing role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform, troubleshoot, maintain, repair and adjust a range of electro-mechanical equipment, automatic fare equipment and various customer equipment at specified customer sites to agreed schedules
- Resolve complex and critical failure situations and maintain contact with problem sites until satisfactory resolution is achieved
- Recommend improvements and work with engineering and other maintenance staff to get the best results regarding preventative maintenance
- Measure, test and inspect completed work to confirm adherence to specifications and verify performance of repaired equipment.
- Read and interpret diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, schematics and works orders to ensure that maintained equipment is in accordance with procedures and standards
- Respond to faults and performance maintenance as per policies and procedures
- Monitor designated repair times and validate customer database, access and permission to the service and general systems of maintenance
- Develop and maintain knowledge and skills in supported products and associated products
- Monitor and respond to alarms
- Support project work
- Comply with WH&S policies
- Maintain job traceability as required – continually update information as received and enter it into the computer in a timely manner
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years technical and practical product repair and maintenance experience
- Certificate in Engineering or Electro-mechanical engineering preferred
- Experience in reading and interpreting diagrams, engineering drawings, manuals, schematics and works orders
- Proven ability to work unsupervised and prioritise
- Cabling licence preferred
- Verbal and written communication must be excellent
- Driven, focussed, well-presented, achievement oriented.
