Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor/Site Manager, you will be required to perform periodic monitoring, regular servicing and minor breakdown maintenance on all applicable items of plant to achieve a high standard of maintenance to SUEZ plant and equipment.

Please note, this role involves working a morning shift, 5am to 1pm.

Your main duties will include the following:

  • Perform; fault finding, diagnostic tests of plant equipment and equipment lubrication, breakdown and preventive maintenance.
  • Be responsible for any company tools used to perform one’s work
  • Conduct or co-ordinate condition monitoring activities to reduce breakdown frequency, severity and duration.
  • Observe and report unusual situations on the facility
  • Report on mechanical maintenance activities carried out during specified periods, including recommendations for improvements to the maintenance system.
  • Manage mechanical maintenance activities to create the least interruption to the work of others on site.
  • Maintain processing equipment to minimise risk to staff and the public.
  • Participate and contribute to Health, Safety & Environmental audits on the site.
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Team Leader on problems or areas for improvement.
  • Undertake administrative duties including completion of timesheets, plant start up and shut down checks, site-specific records and reporting of plant defects.

Key skills and experience required:

  • 5 Years’ Experience and sound working knowledge of heavy industrial equipment.
  • Welding and fabrication experience;
  • Experience using automated Plant systems such as SCADA;
  • EWP ticket, forklift license and driver’s license required;
  • Willing to work in an environment with waste and related processing equipment.

Desirable skills and experience required:

  • Experience in the field of hydraulics systems, air systems and conveyors;
  • Experience with MRF equipment (balers, optical sorters);
  • Motor connect and disconnect electrical ticket experience.
