We have 2 x exciting opportunities for Rail Maintainer 2 (Level 2) - Fitter to become a part of our Fleet Maintenance Division within Sydney Trains.

The Rail Maintainer 2 (Level 2) - Fitter focuses on attending to defective passenger cars at the service centre, analysing problems and taking actions to allow trains to remain in or return to service. This includes Customer Service Tasks to facilitate efficient working and minimise disruption to services.

The main priorities of the role include the Inspection, service, overhaul and repair of internal and external surfaces, internal fittings, furnishings and associated mechanical/pneumatic fittings for electric passenger trains to contribute to the reliability and availability levels for the electric passenger fleet.    

The role requires an individual who holds a trade certification in a Mechanical Fitter Trade and appropriate previous experience relevant to the role with the ability to interpret maintenance instruction, technical drawings and fault find.

Candidates successful in the role will commence on a MAINTR2.1 grading with progression to the MAINTR2.2 grading at the completion of mandatory training.
