PARTS INTERPRETER
Midwest Marine is the pre-eminent marine outboard dealer in the Midwest Region. We operate out of modern, purpose built, premises in Geraldton in the heart of the Webberton industrial area. We are dealers for Mercury & Suzuki outboard motors as well as for the Savage brand of aluminium boats. Additionally, we repair all brands of outboard and fit out new boats to our customer’s requirements.
We currently have a vacancy for a Spare Parts Interpreter/Receptionist who will be a key member in the administration and efficient function of the company. The position would more likely suit an experienced “Spare Parts” Interpreter with a background in parts ordering, selling and stocking who also has experience in serving on a Front Counter rather than an experienced Receptionist.
A core requirement for the role is to be able to provide a pleasant & welcoming initial contact to all callers as well as to customers & visitors to the office. From this point the job tasks are varied and interesting as can be determined from the detailed Job Description established for this position. The emphasis of the role is “Parts Management” and applications are only sought from those with experience in this area.
Additionally, an exposure to working with the MYOB Premier computer system and an understanding of basic engine mechanics would be an advantage.
The current hours of work are Monday to Friday, 9.00 am - 2.00 pm. However, it is highly likely that the work hours will be extended within the next 6 months. An hourly rate of pay, dependant on experience and knowledge will be applicable to the successful candidate.
