Salters Cars has been selling quality used vehicles in Brisbane suburbs for more than 40 years. Through continued growth, we now have a rare position available at Darra for an experienced and technically savvy Workshop Controller with used vehicle and roadworthy experience.
This particular role will manage a team of Roadworthy Technicians, focusing on ensuring our fleet of used vehicles across the group are reconditioned and roadworthy within 3 days.
This position will be responsible for coordinating the service, repair, reconditioning and roadworthy of all used vehicles in stock, not retail customers, therefore it is essential you possess exemplary communication skills in order to build strong working relationships with our Used Vehicle sales teams across the group.
To be considered for this rare opportunity, you will be required to possess the following attributes:
- Prior experience as a Workshop Controller or Foreman within a large workshop
- Qualifications as a Light Vehicle Mechanic; RWC certificate would be advantageous
- Superior communication skills both written and verbal and a strong ability to converse effectively with all levels of staff
- Extremely well-organised and able to continuously meet strict deadlines
- In-depth experience in the diagnosis of mechanical and technical issues with modern vehicles
- Ability to recondition vehicles within set timeframes and budgets
- Solid commitment to team performance, customer satisfaction and quality workmanship
- High attention to detail and a major focus on getting the job done right the first time and on budget
- Positive and mature attitude with a desire to excel and succeed
