Owned by the City of Holdfast Bay, Alwyndor is the operator of the Dorothy Cheater Trust. We deliver on-site residential care and outreach community and therapy services to the area’s older population. Alwyndor’s long history of caring for the elderly in our community and will continue into the future.
About the Role
Alwyndor are looking for a hands on and experienced operator to assist with the management of our maintenance needs. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management, maintenance and presentation of Alwyndor property.
The Maintenance Supervisor is expected to:
- Plan, organise and supervise maintenance and repairs
- Hands on maintenance relating to minor repairs such as basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical and painting needs
- Responsible for maintaining and improving buildings to meet relevant standards and in line with the expectations of Alwyndor’s clients
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly work schedules based on reactive and preventative maintenance schedules
- Initiate work orders with preferred suppliers and approved contractors and ensure work orders are delivered/completed on schedule and to scope
- Maintain contractual and legislative (including WHS) compliance through a scheduled building, equipment and ground maintenance program
- Supervision of maintenance and gardening staff
- Continuously improve service delivery and efficiency
- Manage within budgetary constraints
- Liaise with suppliers and manage contractors, including but not limited to:
- Service delivery
- Performance
- Inductions
- WHS requirements
- Responsible for liaising with stakeholders regarding all aspects of maintenance
- Effectively manage consumables
Required Skill and Attributes:
- Trade qualifications and or equivalent experience (desirable)
- Employee management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Thorough understanding of all WHS requirements pertaining to contractor management and general Maintenance and Repairs
- Knowledge and proven experience in general site maintenance and upkeep
- Proficient in various computer and BMS systems
- Able to liaise with all trade services and external providers
- Experience working within set budgets
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to establish credibility and deliver high quality outcomes
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
