We are currently seeking an highly experienced qualified commercial carpenter to join our growing commercial fit-out / Plastering company we deliver commercial fit out and apartment construction projects.
The preferred candidate will have at least 10yrs on-site experience in two or more of the following:
- Installing Doors and Hardware (must have)
- Aluminium partitions (must have)
- Skirting
- Set-out and installing metal stud partitions
- Installing metal suspended ceilings
- Installation of tiled ceilings
- Installing aluminum partitions
- Fix/hang plasterboard accurately
- Stopping plasterboard accurately
- Have experience in the industry that may add to the company’s client and labor networks
- Rectifying existing suspended ceilings
Your key responsibilities and attributes will be:
- Meet and execute on-site program with tasks provided by site supervisor.
- Liaise with site supervisor and colleagues on performance & progress.
- Working consistently and taking the initiative to oversee issues arising
- Look professional and respectable
- Ensure a high level of communication and teamwork.
- Perform tasks to a high-end quality standard
- Perform tasks in a professional manner
The ideal candidate must have strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills. A motivated individual with a professional attitude and a team orientated approach. They will demonstrate initiative and control during critical circumstances. The candidate must be trade or tertiary qualified, able to meet pressured deadlines and possess both strong time management and people management skills. 6yrs Practical experience for office fit outs/apartments is preferable.
