Enviro Sweep, a road sweeping contractor, seeks the services of an experienced and hands on reliable person for the position of Mechanic to assist in its Darra workshop.
Established in 1997, Enviro Sweep is a progressive, growth orientated company that leads the market in providing a premium service by utilising industry leading equipment and operating procedures.
The permanent position will report to the Branch Manager and will be responsible for:
- The completion of all required service and repair works on various large and small machinery in mechanical, auto-electrical, electronic and hydraulic applications;
- Diesel engine fault diagnosis, repairs and reconditioning;
- Fault diagnosis, trouble shooting and rectification of the Scarab CanBus vehicle control system;
- Replacement or service/refurbishment of perishable/useful life or consumable machine components;
- Performance, quality and safety of operation inspections; and
- Attendance to service calls when required (including after hours).
In order to maintain these responsibilities, the successful applicant must:
- Hold an appropriate qualification in the Heavy Vehicle/Diesel Automotive field;
- Have a drivers licence rated MR or higher;
- Have proficient mechanical knowledge and demonstrated auto-electrical, electrical and hydraulic;
- Be able to work autonomously whilst maintaining a company driven focus;
- Display a sense of urgency and punctuality in their work;
- Posses strong time management and organisational skills; and
- Pass a pre-employment medical assessment to ascertain their ability to adequately perform all duties as required.
