We have an opportunity for a trade’s qualified Fitter to join the maintenance team who will provide maintenance services for the site. Responsibilities will include working on breakdowns, planned and preventative maintenance, installations and general maintenance as required.
You must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, understanding and meeting business needs with professionalism and a sense of urgency. Working cross functionally with production, product development, quality assurance and external suppliers/contractors is an inherent requirement of the role.
Key requirements:
The key to your success will be your ability to work with the team and your experience across a high risk manufacturing facility. Your attention to detail and problem solving ability and a ‘can do’ attitude.
Qualifications

Trades qualified fitter (essential)

A restricted electrical licence (desirable,but not essential)
Knowledge & Experience
-
5+ years’ experience as an Maintenance Fitter in a high-speed packaging environment - preferably from a pharmaceutical, food or FMCG background.

Factory/production background with a high level fault finding capability.

Flexibility within very tight time schedules and in accordance with variable workload demands.

Developing and implementing practical production orientated solutions to technical problems and leading process improvement investigations.

Maintain / enhance standards building capability technically and championing people.

Understanding of the requirements of working in a food processing plant including GMPs and maintenance housekeeping.
