Do you have extensive labouring and plant operation experience together with an excellent eye for detail, a great work ethic and positive approach? An opportunity exists for the right person to join our Operations team, based in Hervey Bay.
This position will provide a high standard of operational and maintenance support to Council’s operation of water and wastewater assets by providing labouring functions and relief plant machinery operation as required.
The successful applicant will have current machinery/plant licences for bobcat, backhoe, mini excavator and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience as an operator.
Current Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B and Tetanus immunisations (or the willingness to undertake) are also essential.
The successful applicant will also hold a current Queensland Class 'C' Driver's Licence, a minimum MR Licence and a General Construction Induction Card (White Card).
First Aid, High Risk Work Licence (Forklift operation), Traffic Implementation (Level 2), SWNELP and Confined Spaces Certifications would be highly regarded.
