The Company
Broadspectrum is a leading provider of maintenance, asset and project management services. They are responsible for the execution of Shutdowns and Major Projects at major oil, gas and petrochemical refineries throughout Australia
The Role
We have upcoming shutdown opportunities across sydney and the wider area plus a number of different gate start roles in other states.
They will be seeking for a number of different qualified tradespeople who have worked on shutdowns or major mechanical construction projects previously.
- Scaffolders
- Mechanical fitters
- Trade assistants
- Riggers
- welders
The responsibilities of the position include:
- The ability to work both scheduled and unscheduled overtime
- The ability to read and interpret plans
- Ability to operate hand and power tools
- Detect faulty equipment and or products and inform supervisors
- Be proficient in Oxy-acetylene, oxy-propane cutting
- Own mode of Transport
- Own set of Basic Tools
- Own set of Personal protective equipment
Key Attributes and Certificates we are looking for include:
- You will be safety and quality conscious and a team player
- Ability to communicate with co-workers
- Trade qualifications in Boiler making / Pipefitting or equivalent experience
- Previous experience within the petrochemical industry
- Forklift and Working in Confined Space qualification would be advantageous
- White Card Holder
- You will also be required to undertake a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screen
In return you will get competitive rates of pay working a 10 hour day in a supportive team environment.
