What We're Looking For

• A team member who obsesses about building dream homes, you enjoy trying new tools and systems and champion growth and development.
• You're resourceful, if you don't have an answer to a problem, you go out and find it and don't wait for someone to teach you… You teach yourself.
• You have a strong passion for further advancement in your own career. Goal setting a career path is crucial to growth. A goal to achieve your builders license is a fantastic goal that we encourage and are currently work on with some of our carpenters.  
• Four years' experience building architecturally designed homes and be able to display leadership qualities during this time.
• You have an ability to communicate well and direct to instruct or understand situations to command respect and attention.
• Ideally you have lead teams in a supportive role and can provide referees to attest to this.
• You contribute to team events that celebrate performance and team goals and inspire others in the organisation. These events are in line with our goals which are tracked and measured for progress.
• You pride yourself on self-accountability and achieving goals.
• Motivated to work within a team where speed and agility is valued over "negativity and politics".
• Most importantly you will "Change lives by building dreams that transform the future" of our team, home owners and yourself.

About The Role

• As the leading hand carpenter, you'll be responsible for ensuring all our current systems are followed, this ensures you are using the tools created and not your memory to build the homes.
• You'll have responsibility in fixing issues found in our systems and creating new systems where required for future project to stop reoccurring mistakes.
• You will work closely with your site manager who reports to the production manager to assist in the day to day running of team, sub-contractors and clients/architects.
• You will be driven by performance and goals, this is an attribute of growth and challenge. Planning and executing the goals with precision that achieves results.
• You will be encouraged to think creatively and proactively, generating out of the box ideas to improve company performance.
• Most importantly you will be encouraged to be "remarkable and exceed expectations in everything you do" and of course "be happy and bring your style".

Preferred Qualifications 

It is preferred you have the following, however, hands on capabilities and experience is far more important.

• Qualified carpenter / joiner or trade equivalent.
• OH/S certified.
• First Aid Level 2
