About the Role:
Reporting to the Village Manager, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our residents, external contractors and the Head Office property team. You will ensure our residents’ gardening and maintenance needs are completed on time and to a high standard.
Rooty Hill Village is an exciting new development project and you will have the opportunity to recruit and lead an experienced professional team, while working in a hands-on capacity.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop key gardening schedules;
- Ensure that the lawns, gardens and irrigation systems are maintained;
- Ensure all building and property maintenance issues are completed on time, to a high standard;
- Coordination of employees and external contract tradespersons;
- Complete a high quality maintenance program for the Village;
- Coaching and mentoring team members;
- Management of external contractors, ensuring the quality of work on site;
- Ensure that all aspects of health and safety are properly managed;
- You will also undertake general maintenance and gardening duties as required for the village.
To be successful in this role, you will exhibit strong leadership qualities with a hands-on team approach. You will have solid customer service skills with strong attention to detail. You will also be a competent user of Outlook and Excel or have the desire to learn.
Skills, knowledge and experience needed:
- Experience in managing property teams would be highly desirable;
- Current NSW Driver’s License’;
- Reliable with strong work ethic;
- Alignment with ARV’s Christian Values;
- Passion for assisting older people.
