About the Role
  
We now have several opportunities available for experienced, passionate and qualified Field Service Fitters to join our Mackay Mining Field Service Department.  These roles will see you work at various mine site locations within the Central Queensland region. 
  
As Field Service Fitter, your key responsibilities will include:

• Service, repair and maintain Caterpillar mining equipment
• Support a variety of customers and ensure they receive the highest quality service, for their Caterpillar machinery
• Identify and develop continuous improvement initiatives utilising the Caterpillar Production System methodology
• Develop accurate service reports
• Drive safety initiatives and strategies to improve safety performance

About You
  
You will bring the following skills and experience to the role:

• Trade qualifications with extensive mine site experience on Caterpillar Mining Equipment
• Experience and knowledge on Caterpillar Hydraulic Mining Shovels would be highly regarded but not essential
• Large shutdown and project experience
• Outstanding communication skills
• The ability to work both within a team and autonomously
• Strong computer skills
• Experience on Caterpillar Diagnostic Systems (ET Vims, SIMSi and SIS)
• Demonstrated commitment to high levels of workplace health and safety
