OUR CLIENT
A leading local business, based in Orange is seeking an experienced Workshop Boilermaker for an immediate start in a temporary full-time role.
This opportunity will appeal to a Tradesman, specialising in the manufacturing industry who is seeking a new challenge and career advancement whilst living in Regional, NSW.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Within this hands on role you will report directly to the Team Leader and your duties will include but not limited to:
- Completing all assignments to a high standard, ensuring compliance with relevant welding standards
- Interpret drawings
- Perform sheet metal and plate assembly
- Carry out mechanical cutting
- Weld using manual metal arc welding processes
- Perform routine oxy acetylene welding
- Undertake supervising duties when the Team Leader is away
- Assist in the day to day running of the workshop and participate in all team meetings
It is essential you have an absolute commitment to working safely and comply with all site safety standards. You will also possess the ability and aptitude to maintain high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance with all company procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication) or similar
- Extensive manufacturing and production experience
- Previous experience in Sheet Metal industry
- Technical skills and experience in welding and fabrication
- Strong knowledge in on-site safety and compliance
- Customer focused with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Be available for immediate start
- Current driver's licence
