About our Client
Our client is based in the Hunter Valley and largely specialises in manufacturing and general engineering, precision machining and fabrication, design and manufacturing services.
About the Role
Ongoing opportunities exist for skilled and experienced Fitter / Machinist who will contribute to the successful operations of the business. The successful applicant will coordinate with the workshop supervisor to ensure production and repair schedules are carried out in an orderly and efficient manner. This includes completion of repairs, general welding, machining and inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Conduct welding and repairs of wheels and rims;
• Conduct machining of wheels and rims;
• Fabrication of parts and assemblies;
• Operation of hand and machine tools including welding equipment;
• Inspections of all equipment associated with the repair process;
• Training of Trades Assistants/ Labourers and Apprentices as required; and
• Compliance and enforcement of OH&S correct practices within the workshop.
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in similar role.
- Trade certificate.
