We provide a range of decorative surface products into the residential and commercial joinery markets throughout Australia. We boast a strong and ever growing team with 1,800 current employees Australia-wide. We have a large Distribution Centre located in Sunshine to service the company’s Victorian market.
To further enhance our operations in the Victorian market, we are looking for an experienced Fleet Maintenance Co-ordinator to work afternoon shift (2.30pm – 10.36pm Monday - Friday) for our Sunshine Distribution Centre. This position is fulltime and co-ordinates the maintenance and repairs to the company’s Victorian fleet which currently consists of 79 vehicles. You will be working with a modern fleet of Volvo and UD Trucks and a Hyundai company motor vehicles and Linde forklifts.
To be successful in this role you will need to possess outstanding leadership, organisational and decision-making skills as well as demonstrated ability to gain the respect of staff, customers and peers.
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Planning, overseeing and co-ordinating contract servicing and minor repairs to the company’s fleet, including trucks, forklifts and company cars
- Maintaining adequate records and documentation for the Company’s Maintenance Management System
- Ensuring all work undertaken by relevant contractors is compliant with statutory, legislative and licensing requirements
- Complying with all Work Health and Safety requirements at all times
The successful applicant will have:
Trade qualifications in a relevant automotive field are desirable, but not essential (e.g. Automotive, Diesel or Plant Mechanic, Parts Interpreter or Mechanical Fitter)
- Experience in co-ordinating and planning a team of maintenance contracts
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent organisational, planning rand record keeping skills
- Highly developed communication and customer service skills
·Previous experience working with Automotive Vehicles
- The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- A strong work ethic
