You will provide leadership to the service and repair workshop team.

You must have the legal right to permanently work in Australia and must hold a relevant trade (Mechanic) qualification.

Purpose of the role

• Coordinate and supervise a facility which maintains and services heavy transport vehicles in a timely manner to meet customer requirements.
• Ensure departmental work duties fulfill the highest quality level and ensures complete customer satisfaction.

Primary Accountabilities/Duties

•  Lead the Service & Repair Workshop operational team
• Establish and/or revise work systems as required, ensuring employee engagement and compliance
• Review current work processes and develop/implement improvements
• Ensure a safe workplace and work practices at all times
• Contribute ideas for alternative repair techniques and workshop operations that will improve efficiency, quality and safety
• Establish and ensure work schedules are generated and achieved
• Co-ordinate vehicle movements throughout the site
• Provide practical advice to workshop employees
• Ensure employees maintain satisfactory housekeeping standards
• Ensure all work is completed consistent with specification

Other Relevant Skills/Attributes

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High level of reliability and follow-through
• Relevant truck MR/HR license (HC license is advantageous)

Skill Level/ Relevant Qualifications

• Technical Trade qualification (Mechanic)
• At least 3 years of relevant trade experience
• At least 3 years team leadership experience
