ESM Compliance are currently seeking the services of a full time (qualified and experienced) fire equipment and fire indicator panel service technician who ideally also holds a Disconnect / Reconnect Restricted Electrical Licence. Come and join our successful essential safety measures / fire protection team located in Melbourne’s South East. We provide comprehensive, quality and professional fire safety solutions for commercial, industrial and residential building owners and managers. The successful applicant will present themselves in a professional, confident and friendly manner and possess excellent time management and organisational skills.
The position requires experience in the servicing of fire indicator panels (FIPs), fire extinguishers, fire blankets, fire hose reels, fire hydrants and exit / emergency lighting. Disconnect / Reconnect Restricted Electrical Licence and sprinklers and pumps experience would be advantageous in this role.
The role will also involve some general maintenance, installation and repairs work (handyman work) and will best suit a versatile, hands on person who enjoys variety. Such tasks will include door hardware installations, stair non slip strip installations, door repairs (self-closers), wall penetration repairs, fire pillow installations and egress inspections.
Applicants MUST HAVE the following Skills AND Experience:
- Suitably qualified – i.e. Cert II in asset maintenance / Certificate II in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing
- Fire industry experience
- Current driver's license
- Good level of customer service
- Good level of communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously
