A unique opportunity is available for a full time Traffic Controller / Labour Supervisor to join our team. The position involves providing and managing all activities relating to traffic control of sites and projects as well as supervising labour.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Toolbox Talks Weekly on all site.
- Inducting workers onsite.
- Resolving and fixing problems/issues on sites.
- Building relations with Forperson’s and Site managers.
- Monitoring Traffic control performance.
- Monitoring Labour performance.
- Setting up jobs.
- Supervising larger traffic plans.
- Dropping /Picking up equipment, books and signs.
- Making sure all worker have the correct uniform and the correct Personal Protective Equipment.
- Teaching workers how to preform/conduct a skilled or specific jobs.
- Supervising Parking Prevention at night.
- Issuing of uniforms.
- Special Project (Demo, asphalting, concreting, etc..)
- Making and supplying the correct paperwork for site work (SWMS, Insurances and work plans).
- Regular checking utes and equipment for damage , repair or replacements
- Picking up and dropping of utes to/from workers and repairs.
- Dealing/sorting with workers issues and problems relating to work on sites.
- enforcing company policy and procedures including Work Health and Safety.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in traffic control or labour supervision is highly advantageous.
- knowledge of Work Health and Safety.
- Weekend work may be required.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Strong organisational skills.
- Attention to detail, sense of urgency and follow-through.
- Ability to multi-task, work independently, and work effectively in varying environments.
