Maintenance Tradesperson Level 3
About the role
The Maintenance Tradesperson reports to the Maintenance Manager and works independently to provide reactive and planned preventive maintenance. This position will contribute to the supervision and assistance to, discipline specific contractors and is required to exercise independent judgment on routine matters. There is a requirement to participate in an on call roster providing service and advice out of normal working hours.
At this level the Maintenance Tradesperson will be actively involved in quality improvement activities and contribute to the evaluation and analysis of guidelines, policies and procedures applicable to their work.
What you bring
- Qualification and experience in one or more appropriate trades
- Familiarity with general standards relating to mechanical building services
- Knowledge and experience in preventative and reactive maintenance practices and systems
- Ability to undertake minor building related maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of WHS procedures and able to follow safe work practices
- Able to communicate effectively and willing to liaise with others
- Able to work within a team environment
- Able to prioritise competing tasks and manage time
- Provided written inspection reports on defects in relation to contractor practice and code compliance for inclusion in records
