The Village Baker is a small family owned artisan baker in the inner suburban Adelaide. Our moto of Uniquely Authentic shows we have a passion for creating Authentic artisan bakery products with our unique flair and flavour.
The Village Baker is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Apprentice Baker who wants to learn form our award winning bakers and chefs, and develop their own skills and make a start in the artisan baking industry.
The applicant will gain experience and knowledge in different areas of baking such as sourdough production, pie and pastry production, cake and sweet production.
The job will be 38 hours over a 7 day week roster. The shifts will be mostly day shifts, but there will be some early 3am starts once or twice a week, but early start means an early finish.
The successful candidate should be well organised and efficient, a good communicator and listener to other bakers, and enjoy being part of team. They should also show good hygiene practices and be well groomed.
