The Company

Due to exponential company growth since establishment in 2010, we require a full-time qualified Electrician to start immediately. We are located in Chapel Hill, Brisbane and provide a wide range of electrical services to commercial and domestic clients across South-East Queensland including electrical maintenance, solar power installation and air-conditioning.

You will be a part of a small close-knit team who communicate regularly with each other and who are all friendly and professional.  

The Role

You will use your technical expertise to –

• Perform general electrical work including commercial and domestic new builds and renovations
• Perform solar installations
• Perform split system air-con installations
• Fault find

You will use your professional behaviours to –

• Build rapport with customers to deliver them high quality services and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders such as key commercial clients and suppliers
• Supervise apprentices when required
• Solve problems effectively
• Be a self-starter and be able to work unsupervised

About you

• Enjoy responsibility and autonomy, and also capable of working in a team
• Be available to work Monday to Friday, and Saturdays and overtime as required
• Minimum 5 years' post apprenticeship experience favourable
• Current electrical licence
• Clean current manual open licence
• Restricted Split Systems Installation and Decommissioning licence is advantageous
• Experience with Solar PV System installations is advantageous
• Experience supervising apprentices
• Comprehensive knowledge of AS/NZ 3000, the Electrical Safety Act, the Electrical Safety Regulation, the Electrical Code of Practice and Electrical Safe Work Practices
• Awareness of WHS Legislation, safety conscious and proactive in safety procedures
• Own basic hand and power/battery tools
• Able to provide a minimum of 2 current references
