Situated in the heart of Redland City Renaissance Victoria Point is a retirement village set on 18 hectares of beautiful bushland with natural waterways and an abundance of wildlife. The village currently boasts over 230 villas and upon completion will have approximately 300 villas. Our team of dedicated gardeners are kept busy maintaining all common areas throughout the village as well as all front yard and courtyard garden areas of each villa. The garden design of the village is based on English Country Manor style of 3 layers of hedging.
We currently have a vacancy for an experienced casual gardener due to our growing village. If you have a love of the outdoors and nature and you're a person who enjoys physical work and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty, this could be the rewarding position you're looking for.
This role is responsible for upkeep of all garden beds, plants, bushland and waterways to village standards, ensuring a pleasant and safe environment for residents, visitors, staff and others. You will also be required to carry out maintenance and facility management duties from time to time.
You will actively contribute to the team and village community and ensure respect, safety, dignity and security are maintained at all times.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous industry experience
- Cert III Horticulture
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Clear communication skills
- Ability to work productively in a team
- Initiative for problem solving
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid Blue/White Card
