We are seeking a full time Experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our busy workshop in our Ballarat depot. We run a fleet of late model Volvo, Mack, UD, Mercedes and Kenworth trucks, along with a large fleet of refrigerated trailers.
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Willingness to work on rotating roster
- Qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, would consider heavy plant or automotive mechanics who have had some experience in service and repairs of heavy road transport trucks
- Welding experience (preferred but not essential)
- Current Drivers Licence (HR, HC or MC preferred, but not essential)
- Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
- Ability to carry out Roadside Breakdowns on a roster system
Sargeant Transport will require all successful candidates to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes drug & alcohol testing.
