Company
This team of progressive, passionate Horticulturists do wonderful things with Gardens! They specialise in high-end Garden maintenance and soft landscaping for residential property owners, as well commercial and strata apartment clients across metro Sydney.

They are seeking a reliable individual to take on the role of Horticulturist / team Leader for an immediate start. You will be working in a great team environment for a family orientated company that is prepared to support you with further education in horticulture if desired.

Role
The role involves working up to 30 hours per week with elderly and disabled Community Care clients on the Northern Beaches. You will be assisted by an Apprentice whom you will supervise and delegate tasks to as you impart Horticultural knowledge, as well as ensuring good on-site work practices are followed.

Standard garden maintenance tasks include lawn mowing and edging, weeding, pruning and shaping shrubs and hedges, trimming and training of climbers, tidying of perennials, fertilising and mulching and general garden maintenance duties.

Other tasks include filling out job sheets, buying products as needed and responsibility for your work vehicle.

Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in, or even passion for, horticulture and gardening. Preferably you will have experience working in residential garden maintenance.

Mature minded, caring, understanding and professional, you will be able to communicate easily with and understand the needs of Elderly and Disabled clients.

A manual driver’s licence is required, while a Certificate in Horticulture would be an advantage to your application. You will also need to be healthy and fit to meet the physical, but rewarding demands of the job.

Applicants must be willing to undertake a Police check and reside in and have work rights in Australia.
  
Remuneration
The hourly rate is $28.50 + super. A modern Toyota HiAce and Smartphone are supplied.
