Our client, based in FLEMINGTON is a leading brand in the Food / Seafood Industry, seeking a qualified Maintenance Fitter to join their developing team.
This role is a temp to Perm opportunity starting ASAP on DAYSHIFT ** ALL applicants must be available to support after hours calls**
**DAY SHIFT HOURS APPLY **
Your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Working specifically with Food Industry Equipment/ Products: Sealing Machines/ Chilled Food Production
- General Breakdown and Preventative Maintenance
- Performing Maintenance & Repair on plant equipment
- On Call for Afterhours machine breakdowns
- Completing all fabrication requirements according to technical engineering drawings
- Basic knowledge and experience in welding , diagnosing faults/ problems & identifying appropriate action
- Knowledge of pneumatics and pneumatic control systems
- Operating conventional milling machine & lathe
- Ability to demonstrate skills in machining and trouble shooting
- Interaction with intent to support/ Understand fault scenarios
- Intermediate computer skills
The successful Candidate will possess the following:
- Extensive experience in role or similar
- Trade Qualification - This will need to be supplied at interview
- ALL APPLICANTS MUST hold a valid drivers license and Forklift license (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and professionally as part of a team and alone
- Ability to endure physical work, working at heights, use of power tools, welding & pneumatic equipment
- Ability and knowledge in handling hazardous materials including carcinogens
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good attitude with a preference for being ‘hands on’
