EXPERIENCED POWER STATION ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN - 8/6 days only roster (Friday to Friday)

You will provide safe, effective and timely maintenance to achieve maximum availability.

 

Key accountabilities will include:

  • Carry out daily rounds and plant inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Carry out planned and routine maintenance activities on a broad range of electrical and instrumentation equipment
  • Diagnosing and fault finding on dual fuel turbines
  • Work closely with other mechanical and electrical technicians and external contractors
  • Carry out preventative maintenance on power station equipment including gas turbines
  • High quality safety and continuous improvement practices
  • Use in SAP to raise notifications, close out work orders, time confirmations and cause codes

Qualifications and Skills required:

  • Formal training and relevant trades qualifications with suitable experience (Electrical Workers Licence)
  • Cert IV in Instrumentation with relevant experience
  • High Voltage Switching Certificate and relevant experience (desirable) 
  • Supervised Gas fitter qualification (desirable)
  • Previous experience in power generation, GE LM6000 or Solar Titian 130 Turbines preferably
  • EWP, working at heights and confined space training (desirable)
  • Experience with all aspects of power station maintenance and fault finding i.e. PLC, Profi Bus, Control system operation 
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment
  • Absolute commitment to safety
  • Experience in computer based maintenance systems - SAP (desirable)
