The Company
Our client is a well-known dairy company manufacturing 100% Australian made dairy products. They currently have an opportunity for a ‘hands on’ Maintenance Fitter within their company.
Duties & responsibilities:
We are currently seeking a ‘hands on’ Maintenance Fitter for the day shift. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- To ensure all machines throughout the plant are maintained and operating at their optimum level and efficiency
- Preventative maintenance and weekly downtime planning
- To know and understand the operation and adjustment of all equipment
- To ensure the Maintenance area and designated work areas are kept clean and tidy during normal working hours at all times, ensure housekeeping is up to standard when finishing a job
- Conduct installation and commission tasks as required
- To have a quick response time to breakdown calls to minimize downtime
- On occasions you may be required to perform auxiliary tasks in situations such as, machine break downs, emergencies or meal break coverage
Skills & attributes:
- Trade qualification
- Previous experience in Stainless Steel welding ideal but not essential
- Motivated and a self-starting attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- A forklift license an advantage but not essential
- An elevated platform license an advantage but not essential
